Acai Berries

topic posted Sun, April 20, 2008 - 9:57 AM by  Kevin
How much have you heard lately of the acai berry? It's making the news as an amazing superfood. The berry has the highest orac rating of anti oxidants, and research is showing that it boosts a person's overall immunity. I have been taking Acai in the form of a juice over the past year, and I have avoided the cold and flu that others have experienced quite severely this past year. It's amazing. Do any of you have any experience with acai? Please let me know. If you want to know more about the juice I have been taking, you can follow a link on my profile.

I have tried Noni juice. It's too bitter, and I couldn't get past the nasty taste to test whether it would work for me. The acai berry juice that I take is blended with a number of other fruits high in anti-oxidants, and it has a nice mild taste that I actually like.

I've heard some pretty amazing claims... giving credit to this berry for everything from cures/relief from arthritis, diabetes, to kidney disease, anemia, the flu, fatigue, some cases of cancerous cells, HIV, and acne. If the scientific studies back many of these up, even to a lesser degree, that IS pretty awesome.
