Green Smoothie GAG

So I came home after running today thinking.. "Hmmm, what's the healthiest thing that I can nourish my body with?.. I think I'll go to the store and get some...Yellow Peppers, these look nice.. Some Spinach...I must need a Cucumber for something , this pear will sweeten the smoothie up, and ummmmmm, yeah this radish looks good...?"Don't know what compelled me to get a radish.. maybe I thought the peppery taste would go well? Peppery Pear... no?

So I blended my mortifying medely with some parsley, pepper & basil to taste. Haha... "to taste" ... yeah not so much. And here I am choking it down dreaming of a clear complexion to keep me taking the next sip/chew/grind. (didn't blend long enough, clearly)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give me some other veggie meddlies that are all raw, very nutritious, easy ingredients I can pick up with out ordering something from South America, and that tastes just somewhat decent. (I'm really not picky, but this thing that I made could ward off buzzards)

Ugghh, here goes another sip.... thank you so much!

i really like to put "green superfood" in my shakes. it's labeled as a live food and is actually really delicious. it makes smoothes TASTE better. you can buy single packets at whole foods if you don't want to commit to the 27 dollar jar yet. if you're running, i'd suggest blending it with coconut juice (really really good for before and after workout hydration), frozen mango (or fresh if you don't mind it not being cold cold), a little lime and mint. hope this helps!

My advice is... Have the amount of fruit outweigh the amount of veggies (unless it is meant to taste like a veggie smoothie, v-8 or something..). Hmm. I like to grab a handful of spinach or bok choy, (sometimes add spirulina), then add a kiwi, a persimmon, maybe a lil banana... I fool around with all my smoothies, and they usually turn out awesome. All unique. i only once made something I didn't like ...Hmm....It was a green soup...I remember putting avocado in it, some veggies, and Juvo (?) , the raw drink supplement. I don't remember what else, but I really did not care for it at all...........Ah well. You learn. Yeah. Have you ever tried ...... peeling bananas, chopping 'em up, and freezing them--then putting them in a food processor? I do it all the time, usually adding some maca powder, mesquite powder, almond extract, cacao powder...You know, yummy stuff.........It comes out like soft serve ice cream. Delicious!
